Print for Love of Woodis the “labour of love” of Jacqui Sharples; a Lancashire based designer-maker. Using the traditional craft of letterpress, hand set old printing letters, and 100% recycled paper, she produces some exquisite personalised prints, all bearing the unmistakeable print of lovingly produced, non-digitised, eco-friendly vintage images.
Jacqui uses nothing more technologically minded than some age old presses, a large collection of antique wood letters, and a good deal of elbow grease to produce her characteristic prints. If you remember the joy of creating a basic wood block at school to then stamp an image onto a piece of paper, this is the same idea, sort of, in the hands of a talented graphic designer.
You can choose from a range of designs and images, all produced on what Jacqui describes as “tree hugging paper”. But rather than listen to us, why not take a look at Print for Love of Wood’s creations, surely the best advertisement for her work?
